SpinADate ("we", "us", or "our") helps you discover local date spots and events based on your preferences. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we use your information. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account information: your name and email address when you register.
- Profile details: preferences you provide such as age range, relationship status, zip code, budget, and interests, used to tailor date and event recommendations.
- Date and event activity: spots you save or mark complete, and events you like or dislike, so we can improve future suggestions.
- Purchase information: when you subscribe to our Events Pro plan, our payment processor (Base44 Payments, powered by Wix) handles your payment details — we never store full card numbers on our servers.
- Usage data: basic analytics about how you use the app, such as pages viewed and actions taken, collected to improve performance and reliability.
How We Use Your Information
- To generate personalized date and local event recommendations.
- To send optional email alerts about new events near you when you opt in.
- To manage your subscription and grant access to premium features.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse (such as duplicate referral submissions), and troubleshoot issues.
- To improve the quality and relevance of our suggestions over time.
Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to operate the service:
- Base44 Payments (Wix): processes subscription payments securely.
- AI providers: we send your preferences (e.g., location and interests) to our AI services to generate recommendations. We avoid including sensitive personal identifiers beyond what is needed for the suggestion.
- Infrastructure providers: hosting and analytics services that help keep the app running.
Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and your associated data at any time from the Profile screen, which removes your records from our active systems.
Your Choices
- Update or remove your preferences and saved items at any time in the app.
- Turn event email alerts on or off from the Local Events screen.
- Request account deletion via the Profile page or by contacting support.
- Opt out of analytics where your device or browser settings allow.
Security
We apply reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including restricted access controls and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorized access.
Children's Privacy
SpinADate is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
